Happy New Year!

On behalf of the extended team here at Lancor, we want to wish you a Happy New Year. Welcome to 2018!  Like many of you, we’ll struggle for a bit wrestling with the fact that last year flew by as quickly as it did, but we look back on it with gratitude for the experiences that we had.

2017 was a pivotal year for our firm across the globe. We welcomed two new partners: Abbed Anabtawi in Dubai and Scott Estill in New York City. We grew our headhunting business significantly across each vertical with Private Equity continuing to be the focal point of the work that we do; and we established a market leading Advisory Practice to complement the ways in which we serve the PE community. We enter 2018 with a refined commitment to being the “super boutique” serving Private Equity.

On the lighter side, our employees experienced graduations, weddings and new babies… reminding us all about the silver lining to the work we do. We held our first All Hands Meeting in May when we took the entire company to London for some wonderful team building. And in Q4 following the devastating hurricanes in Houston and Florida, we instituted a corporate giving program to fund badly needed charitable relief efforts.

In 2018, we will strive to continue to remember that, in every way, our success is tied to serving you: our partners in the client and candidate universe. Achievements will come and go, but our reputation must stay constant. We thank you all for including us in your network, and we commit to giving our best to you in 2018.

In November, we welcomed Scott M.Estill to our New York City office to lead our Global Advisory Practice. 

As Lancor’s newest Partner, Scott will play a key role in our established PE-focused executive search practice while building Lancor’s new Advisory Practice. Our Advisory business leverages our executive network to provide our PE clients with differentiated investment opportunities and deal angles, as well as recruit the best management teams for their portfolio companies. He comes to Lancor with over 20 years of deal generation, M&A, financial services and executive recruiting experience. Read more about Scott Estill here.

In May, the Lancor team united for our first “All Hands Global Meeting” in London. All offices were in attendance for team building, educational sessions and several guest speakers on our Private Equity Operating Partner panel. It was a successful event that further reinforced our global connections.
